Jim and I both share spending time in a newspaper bull pen creating stories people hopefully enjoyed. I find some of his essays a nice respite from my normal diet of bad news. He also has been kind to me as I stumbled through the incomprehensible act of creating my own Substack space.
I have read most of her essays and commentary during last year. She is not afraid to talk about her faith, her country, her many years serving her nation as an US Army veteran. In some ways she is a woman approaching early middle age with attitudes that once were common, but in our modern secular culture such attitudes and beliefs are in short supply.
Such a wonderfully useful service Caroline Chambers is offering to those of us never seem to have time to cook interesting meals that are fun to cook and not very expensive to round up the list of ingredients.
